Chevys Employees’ Favorite Dishes

It’s nearly impossible to narrow it down, but as Chevys employees, we have a few favorite dishes of our own. And, while everything on the menu is fresh, flavorful, and delicious, some entrees just seem to knock it out of the park. Every. Single. Time. So, if you’re visiting Chevys for lunch or dinner, get some inspiration with our employees’ favorite dishes!

Grilled Chicken Fajita Tacos

Nicole G. – Chevys, Brandywine

Nicole, from Chevys in Brandywine, began her Chevys Fresh Mex story in December of 2017 as a brand-new hostess. Today, she is a confident server and says, “Chevys helped me in many ways in order to be where I am in this field. I’ve improved in hospitality, responsibility, accountability, and problem-solving skills plus many more.”

Nicole’s all-time favorite menu item is the Grilled Chicken Fajita Tacos with homemade chipotle aioli. Above all other entrees, Nicole loves the combination of homemade aioli sauce, fresh warm tortillas, and juicy, flavorful chicken. And, we can’t disagree in the slightest. Our Grilled Chicken Fajita Tacos is a home run! Featuring two homemade, soft flour tortillas filled with grilled chicken, crisp lettuce, pico de gallo, chipotle aioli, and cotija cheese, the flavor never stops. Enjoy it with your choice of homemade beans a la charra or refried beans made with bacon or vegetarian black beans.

Shrimp Fajita Salad

Makayla K. – Chevys, Annapolis

Makayla, an employee from our Annapolis Chevys location, grew up around Chevys cuisine and started working at the restaurant in 2013 after celebrating her 15th birthday. She began her tenure as a hostess, and upon turning 18, Makayla was anxious to start a new path as a server. Moving on up, she became a bartender when she turned 21.

Makayla’s favorite Fresh Mex entree is the Sizzling Shrimp Fajita Salad. The dish features succulent shrimp sautéed in Mexican butter and served on fresh romaine lettuce. The pepita seeds, cotija and jack cheeses, fresh chopped avocado, and San Antonio veggies come together for one unforgettable meal. Without a doubt, according to Makayla, the chipotle apple dressing is “to die for.”

Sarah S. – Chevys, Annapolis

Lastly, Sarah, from Chevys in Arundel Mills, started working as a server and occasional hostess at the restaurant in 2008. Along the way, she gained an interest in bartending, a position that she currently holds today. You can catch Sarah behind the bar multiple days a week, so be sure to say hello!

Sarah is also a huge advocate for the Chipotle Chicken Enchiladas. In fact, when a customer asks Sarah for a meal recommendation, she says “Chipotle Enchiladas are always the first to come to mind.” Loaded with salsa chicken, jack cheese, fresh corn, and chipotle-sherry cream sauce, there’s a lot to love about this popular Fresh Mex dish. Furthermore, if you ask Sarah, she’ll tell you that “the sherry cream sauce makes the whole plate. I even get extra to put on top of my rice.” Yum!
