It would be a misconception to say we got into the restaurant business just for the food. In reality, at least for us, it has always been about the people. Being able to connect through food, atmosphere, and community is important to us at Chevys. That is why this year has been difficult. We’ve had to lessen interaction, the connection we have with our customers. Still, this year has shown us more than most how amazing our Chevys customers are. Communities throughout Maryland have rallied behind locally-owned restaurants in a way that truly makes us feel blessed. However, there are always those customers, the ones that feel like family, that really make this experience worth-while. For us, that is customers like Jeff and Kendra Liverman.

It’s hard to believe that Chevys is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year with nearly two decades of business! We are simply overwhelmed and grateful by the ongoing love and support of our loyal community. Needless to say, a lot has happened since we first opened our doors in 1998. Looking back, there’s quite a few historic moments, inventions, and monumental events that also turn 20 years old this year. So, what else happened in 1998 and 1999?

Everyone loves guac, but let us not forget about salsa. Salsa adds flavor and vibrant color to everything it touches, whether that’s chips, tacos or chicken breast. Not to mention, it’s so versatile and goes great with all kinds of foods aside from Mexican cuisine. And, did you know that salsa can be healthy, too? That’s a win in our book.
